Reginald Augustus Wymer (British, 1849-1935)
March Past of the Northumberland Fusiliers before Queen Victoria, Jubilee Review, Aldershot,
7th July 1887, watercolour with bodycolour highlights, signed with monogram and dated 1888,

Reginald Augustus Wymer was commissioned into the 34th Foot in 1867, but soon afterwards transferred to the 91st Highlanders becoming a Captain in the 2nd (Militia) Battalion of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. He served in the Territorial Force Reserve during the First World War. As an artist he specialised in military subjects and true to his military career; is work is orderly.
