John Speed - 17th century map of Northumberland from The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britaine, with insets of Berwick and Newcastle 385 x 510mm - mount frame describes map as the 1676 Bassett and Chiswell version of this early map though it may in fact be the 1611/12 original (I need to remove it from its frame and read text on verso), sold !
